Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are experts in movement and function. We work with you to achieve as much movement and independence as possible, and assist in improving injuries or conditions which may have been present from birth, as the result of an accident / injury or part of ageing. We work with a variety of different conditions and ages.

How to access this service

You don’t need a GP referral to access our services.

You can call and refer yourself, or your health practitioner can send us a referral.

A GP referral is not required to access our services.
Please see below for referral contact details.
Please note that our service is only available to holders of a concession/health care card. (Exceptions for Continence Physiotherapy, Paediatrics, Prehab Program, and Home Based Services)
Compensable clients (WorkCover/TAC/NDIS) and those without a concession should access a private service.
If you believe your referral should be an exemption to this (e.g. will be accessing several other allied health services, financial hardship), then please call us to discuss.

  • What to bring

    Please bring a list of your current medications and your medical history.

    If you have any relevant test results, please bring these as well.

  • What does a Physiotherapist do?

    Our physiotherapists will work with you to determine the best way to assist you to acheive your goals. This may include individual exercise programs tailored to your goals, involvement in a group exercise program, joint mobilisation to reduce pain and stiffness, assistance with the use of mobility aids and equipment (eg crutches, walking sticks, frames) and education.

  • Camperdown Community Health

    Camperdown can offer treatment for the following: Back / neck / lower limb or arm pain, fractures, sprains, osteoarthritis (before or after an elective joint replacement), chronic health conditions that can be improved through exercise (eg heart disease, COPD, diabetes) , stroke and other neurological disorders, falls or problems with your balance, and headache / dizziness. Please note there are some limitations as to who is able to access our services, please call the intake phone number to discuss: (03) 5557 0900.

  • Warrnambool Community Health

    Warrrnambool can offer treatment for the following: Back / neck / lower limb or arm pain, fractures, sprains, osteoarthritis (before or after an elective joint replacement), chronic health conditions that can be improved through exercise (eg heart disease, COPD, diabetes), children with development delay / concerns, stroke and other neurological disorders, falls or problems with your balance, headache / dizziness or women’s health / pregnancy related / continence conditions.
