About Us

Dedicated to providing family oriented health care in accordance with ethical standards and best available evidence, services at South West Medical Centre are accessible, culturally appropriate and affordable in a multidisciplinary, team-based setting.

We aim to provide a warm and engaging environment, where patients can learn more about their own health and factors that affect it.

The workforce at South West Medical Centre consists of five Specialist General Practitioners, one General Practitioner Registrar, three nurses, a Practice Manager and a team of administration professionals. The General Practitioners have a special interest in the areas of:

  • General medicine
  • Preventative healthcare
  • Chronic disease management
  • Diabetes management
  • Weight-loss and bariatric medicine
  • Paediatrics
  • Women’s health
  • Adolescent health; and
  • Mental health
  • Sexual and reproductive health

South West Medical Centre is a fee-for-service practice, consisting of six GP consulting rooms, a practice nurse room, a procedure room and a treatment room. Our practice is co-located in South West Healthcare’s community health building, alongside allied health, medical, mental health, district nursing, alcohol & drugs, dentistry and palliative care services.

South West Medical Centre is proud to be involved in the training of a new generation of doctors and nurses and engage with Deakin University, South West TAFE, RACGP-TMS Training and South West Healthcare to provide teaching opportunities for students, interns and GP Registrars.
