Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Program

The Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies program is a free community outreach service providing support to pregnant women in Warrnambool. The aim of the service is to improve the health and wellbeing of both mothers, babies and their families by working together to find solutions to things that are worrying you.

How to access this service

The HMHB program is available to women who require extra support throughout pregnancy for a variety of reasons, including;

  • Mental health
  • Feeling isolated or lonely
  • Housing or money problems
  • Problems with drugs or alcohol
  • Relationship issues
  • Difficulty with English

If you are interested in the program, you can discuss a referral with your midwife or GP. You can also call or text 0481 915 575 to discuss the program with an outreach worker.

Refer a patient

If you would like to refer a client to the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Program, please use the Perinatal Support Service Referral Form available on Women’s Health Service, Level 4.

  • What to bring

    Your first appointment will be up to 90 minutes long and located in Warrnambool Community Health building. Please bring current details of your GP and other services you are working with. HMHB is able to conduct home visits after this first appointment if applicable.
